IC HELP aims to be a safe port in life's storms
A collaborative Benevolence effort by participating area churches, individual donors, United Way and Northwoods Share 'fund raisers' to share in the emergency financial needs of families in the greater Eagle River area. ( Phelps, St Germain, Sayner, Conover, Land o' Lakes, Three Lakes area communities) By pooling financial and volunteer resources, emergency financial help is made available for families in our community. Each applicant will be:
their needs evaluated,
resources from other agencies explored,
on-going relationships developed,
education on life improvement skills provided and
other assistance added as necessary.
All this is offered by a group of well trained volunteers working together under a single administrative structure. Spending journals are given to help applicants keep track of spending and form a budget. Prayer and encouragement provide hope to hopeless life situations!
"For God so loved the world He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to c condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16-17 A new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. John 13:34
Spending journals provide tools for folks to keep track of spending and see where change is needed
Prayer offers help beyond our limits as we ask God to guide and empower the hurting and needy
